Fabric Scraps — Sorted Cuttings for Recycling and Manufacturing

Post-industrial fabric scraps sorted by fiber type and composition. Jersey, fleece, and rib cuttings from Honduras garment production — consistent feedstock for fiber recyclers, stuffing producers, and nonwoven manufacturers.

Why Honduras Fabric Scraps Are Premium Feedstock

Honduras is the second-largest apparel exporter to the United States. Its maquila sector cuts millions of garments monthly, generating enormous volumes of clean, post-industrial scraps with known fiber content. Unlike post-consumer textile waste (which requires sorting, decontamination, and testing), our scraps come straight from the cutting floor with traceable composition. We sort into specific categories: white jersey cotton (R2), fleece white (R3B), fleece color (R3), rib color (R5), and mixed (R1). This pre-sorting means fiber recyclers can feed our bales directly into their process without additional classification. Composition certificates accompany every shipment.

Key Applications

Fiber Recycling

Defibering operations converting scraps back to raw fiber for re-spinning. Our composition-sorted bales let recyclers target specific blend ratios without additional sorting.

Stuffing & Filling

Shredded scraps for mattress filling, cushion stuffing, punching bags, and pet beds. Soft knit scraps produce comfortable, resilient fill material.

Nonwoven Production

Feedstock for needle-punch and thermal-bond nonwovens used in automotive insulation, geotextiles, and industrial filtration.

Wiper Cutting

Larger scraps (R2C raw cotton, cuttable size) can be cut into smaller industrial wipers — creating premium rags from what would otherwise be waste.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of fabric scraps do you sell?

We sort scraps into 6 categories: R1 (mixed scraps), R2 (white jersey cotton), R2C (raw cotton cuttable), R3 (fleece color), R3B (fleece white), and R5 (rib color). Each category has consistent fiber composition and is baled separately.

Can fabric scraps be used for defibering?

Yes — defibering is the primary use for our scraps. Our R2 white jersey (100% cotton) and R3B white fleece (poly-cotton) are the most popular grades for fiber recovery. Pre-sorted composition means your defibering line gets consistent input without surprises.

What is the minimum order for fabric scraps?

Minimum order is one pallet (~1,000 lbs). Container loads offer the best pricing: a 20ft container holds approximately 36,000 lbs of compressed scraps bales (scraps compress more densely than cut rags). We ship FOB Puerto Cortes.
